Hay Feeders

We have very little wasted hay partly because its high quality and the animals eat every last bit of it and partly because of the innovative hay feeders that we use. These hay feeders, designed and built by our eldest son, Ben, easily accommodate a single bale. The grid over the hay cuts down on the hay waste and helps reduce the hay that gets into the alpacas’ fleeces and topknots. The feeders fold for easy transportation and can be used at home or at the show with equal ease. Ben will gladly build one for you to suit your needs.

Assembly is simple enough that a

single person can set them up.
